Dr. Maggie uses clinical information from lab testing to explore contributing causes of your concern(s)
Maggie offers in-house blood testing for her patients’ convenience. She has access to conventional blood tests (similar to what your GP would order), as well as functional testing.
What is functional testing? Functional testing focuses on physiological function as a marker of health, rather than merely the presence of markers of disease.
For example, do you feel tired but the blood work you did at your doctor tells you that everything is ‘normal?’ Just because you don’t fall out of a reference range, doesn’t mean you are well. Functional testing explores the grey area between health and disease. A test will typically involve a breath, blood, saliva, urine or stool sample. These tests can either be done in house or in the comfort of your own home.
Test options include:
Conventional Bloodwork (vitamin D, iron, B12, etc)
Patient Assessment Panels:
Healthy Living Assessment Panel
Metabolic Panel
Inflammation Panel
Thyroid Panel
Autoimmune Panel
Female Hormone Panel
Men’s Health Panel
Fatigue Panel
Liver/Digestion Panel
Food Sensitivity Testing
Digestion and Gut Function Testing
Advanced Hormonal Assessment: salivary and dried urine hormone testing (DUTCH test)
Organic Acid Testing
Urinalysis
PAP exam
